MACtac® Specialty Products advances its trusted rubber -based adhesive technology with its new proprietary 593XT adhesive, an improved rubber adhesive formulation available in three calipers for functional applications.

The MACtac 593XT adhesive products IB1178XT, IB1190XT and IB1184XT representing 1.2-mil, 2.0-mil and 2.6-mil caliper constructions provide customers with a simplified choice of functional solutions that meet demands for cost-effective, general purpose and premium applications. Engineered for demanding applications where performance and price are both factors, the IB1190XT 2.0-mil caliper mid-range product also benefits customers by reducing SKU proliferation. By using this “go-to product” with its robust performance profile, customers are able to serve most applications without an inventory of a large number of specific SKUs.

“Rubber adhesive technology is a core competency at MACtac,” said Kurt Schramer, strategic business development director, MACtac Specialty Products. “We strive to develop robust adhesives that deliver the bonding power to meet the demands of diverse applications. The MACtac 593XT adhesive goes beyond our expectations, already exceeding successful MACtac rubber-based products.”

The MACtac 593XT adhesive outperforms previous rubber adhesive technology with improved tack, peel, shear and heat-resistance properties. The new adhesive offers a versatile solution for a wide range of diverse applications in industries such as transportation/aerospace, alternative energy, electronics, appliance, foam fabrication, building and construction, packaging, gasket converting, among others.

Using the most advanced assets, the MACtac 593XT adhesive is compounded and coated without the use of solvents. Using a green process is increasingly important as end-users require more sustainable solutions. As the industry’s next great rubber-based adhesive, the MACtac 593XT adhesive is also designed to endure for the lifetime of the product application.
