In this video, brought to you by MACtac, we will take a took at how to install MACtac Tuning Film using Knifeless Tech Systems Finish Line Tape to create precision cut vinyl decals. Finish Line Tape is used to “alleviate the issues that novice and even expert installers dread; cutting on paint.”
Tools Needed:
Squeegee, Knife, Isopropyl Alcohol, and Knifeless Tech Systems Finish Line Tape
Step 1
Make sure the surface is clean. Isoprpyl Alcohol is always a recommended cleaning solution.
Step 2
Apply the Finish Line Tape to the contour to be wrapped. Allow a two inch tail to get started.
Step 3
Apply the wrap media over the tape line, overlapping the tape line.
Step 4
Separate the filament from the tape with a sharp snapping motion and continue pulling to slice the vinyl
Step 5
Remove the rubber tape and the excess vinyl. Re-squeegee the vinyl edge down and apply heat to edge if wrapped around a curve.
